Remembering All My Brothesr and Sisters on Veterans Day

1-20191111_092920.jpg

Wife & I went to D-Day Memorial for their "gathering"; both our dads were there, during the war. Her father was army air corp (bomber), & my dad was a guard at a POW Camp in France after the "first wave". They are both deceased; didn't talk much about it. :coffee2:

Congrats to my fellow brothers and sisters for waking up and casting a shadow!! Happy Veterans Day:occasion14:

To my fellow Vietnam combat brothers. Enjoy a peaceful and happy day ! :) 039.JPG

I had a gift for languages, did 47 weeks in El Paso TX studying Vietnamese, and then did two tours over there..... Really got along pretty good with the gals there :) Shot at and missed, **** at and hit = whatever. Came home and this place sucked, period! For a long time I really wanted to go back. But here we are today.

Here's a boot camp cadence:

You can have your Army kakhies...
You can have your Navy blues....
I have a different fighting man to introduce to you...
His uniform is different, the finest ever seen.....
The Germans call him Devil Dog, his title is Marine...
Paris Iiiiiiland......

Happy Veterans Day to all my Brothers and Sisters in all branches of our Armed Forces both past and present.

I have to remind myself I am also a veteran. Yes, I spent two years in the Army, mostly at Crash Rescue, Fort Lewis, but all these years psychologically I think of real veterans as those who were in combat. And, I was not. A strange quirk in my mind, I guess.

I'd like to thank all the Veterans for my Freedom,...... "I use it every day!"

Thank you Veterans.jpg
