Welcome to Tnet. You might want to open up the Forum link and scroll down to "What is it" Post questions with pic there and maybe have a common item in the picture to use for size comparison. Once you find out what it is you can then check the internet for recent sales and derive value to your items.

While Loco has the right idea, if any of the items you're looking to ID are rocks or gems, try the Rocks/Gems section instead. And if prospecting-related, use the prospecting section. Lastly, if they are Indian artifacts, ....yep, you guess it - there's a section for that as well. The closer you can get on your own in posting in the correct forum, the more and better replies you're likely to receive.

Rock identification is difficult over the internet as there is no way to feel the weight of the rock, see it in a 3D manner, etc. However, feel free to post a pic and the folks here will do their best to help you out. Try to limit pics to 3 or 4 different rocks per pic, as things can get confusing after awhile.

Same thing on the jewelry. Not sure if anyone here is actually an "expert" or a "professional", but you should get some pretty good info, as folks here are quite knowledgeable and very helpful.

As for the marbles, I've seen posts talking about THIS kinda marble and THAT kinda marble - sorry, I can't tell one marble from another. But fell free to post on the marbles section.

Sorry to hear about your father. Here's hoping you'll be a member here for many years to come!
