My son dug this yesterday at an old library (1900). It was at leat 10'' deep and he almost quit on it a couple times. I think it is pretty unusual and I promised to post it for him to see if anyone had ever seen one like it, or knew how old it might be. There is no writing on it anywhere. We couldn't believe the condition because all of the copper coins we found were seriosly suffering from fertilizer poisoning. We dug over 100 targets from a 10'x60' area and were suprised at some of the things that came up when we decided to dig every signal.

:icon_thumleft: Sure have, ladies compacts are always nice to find, this means your in a prime area for sure :icon_thumright:

Sometimes have only found halves of them. Finding a whole one is less common and yours has some nice enamel painting and high quality ones like yours are made from brass and possibly are gold plated too sometimes. This makes them much more durable than other items I would think.
