Won't need that in Clearwater, main beach hunted a lot, hard white sand, minimal waves, huge volleyball sand area on south side of pier, a lot of webcams available as well, north side of pier also has a lot of activity. If you go into the Florida sub section of forums you will probaly find some locals to meet up with. Great place to vacation.

Bring a big ice scrapper. Man its cold here. Salt trucks running everywhere. Be careful not to get frost bite. Hunt in 5 minute intervals. Safety first.

If you plan to hunt water, none of the machines you have listed will suffice. CWB is a great place to hunt, but in Jan, expect it to be whored out more than a $10 rock ho on double coupon day,

DON"T go in the water after Dark and go early or later. If you are not park at the beach by 10AM stay home because all the parking will be gone.

The AT PRO will work good in the water at CWB.

Yes, stop at the end of US 1 or you will get wet and your car won't work anymore.

Oh, Clearwater huh?

Throw a handful of pennies on one end of the beach to keep the others busy and then hunt the quiet part.

Don't hunt up in the dunes…. bad Ju-Ju there. It's illegal. The rest of the beach and water, go for it. If you see any of us locals hunting it's customary for you to buy us beer at the Tiki Hut.

Carry a spare sand scoop. You never know when you may need it!

If something that feels meaty and big bumps into you, get out of the water. Otherwise, enjoy your time saltwater hunting, just keep a sharp open for the stingrays, which you probably won't be able to see until after you step on them. :laughing7: But seriously, it's all good. Enjoy your stay and good luck.
