Headed to Melbourne Australia for about 12 day and yes, the detector is going with me! Any hunters out there? Any beach rules I should know about?

look up this Aussie metal detecting forum "kimbucktwo" - google it - many MD's around Melbourne - you are also very close to Victoria's golden triangle where all the huge nuggets are found on the Gpx's - $300,000 nugget just recently.
No rules - just respect the beach and locals ... like anywhere...........

The biggest rule to learn is how to pronounce Melbourne.

It's MEL-bun. Or MEL-bin. Or maybe halfway between the two.

But most importantly, it's not MEL-born.

Makes no sense, but neither do a lot of other things in
the English language.
