I have a set of headphones that I got with my first MD a BH Tracker IV but they make my ears (tops) very sore after a hour or so.
I need help on choosing a decent pair:
reasonable price
COMFORTABLE
volume control
won't slide off my head

Any help would be appreciated.

ratphones are decent 8)

me personaly i tried those i didnt care for them cord was to short kept rippin them out of my ears
no volume control blah blah

Second vote for RATphones. I really like them. Also like my Grey Ghosts.

So just pull them outta yer ear a bit, mate. My neighbor's Ace 300 almost knocked my head off it was so loud.

no volume control
as in the ohms of the ear peices (to low something like 9 ) werent compatablewith my machines ohm requirements(higher)
the signal was to weak sounded tinny like a 2 tin cans string
just wondering if you got the package what to ohms are
mine is like 277 ohms of inpedence

I had to put tape over the ear pieces of mine to reduce the volume. OOOOuch!! It worked really well. Now my ears don't bleed when I get a target. hehehehehe

I bought a set of Killer Bees from this guy http://www.southern-treasures.com/ a pretty good deal .Check him out if you like, the phones are worth every penny.

thanks...are they the Killer B Optima for $76?
Most important are they comfortable....are the ear cups big enough?

thanks

Well I think I have narrowed it down to 2 types:
Killer B Optima
RatPhone

This what I have now Calrad 15-135 and they are VERY uncomfortable for my ears at least.

Opinions welcome...

I Have the Hornet "Optima" and yes they are very comfortable, and if you get a set you won't regert it Aussie Okie.Yes to your other question they are $76.Good Luck and have fun. ;)

something to remember
keep them properly adjusted or they will sag on your head(forward/backward) and your ears will hurt ;)

Are you talking about headphones in general or this particular brand of headphone?

thanks

the standard ear cup type

I've used many different ones and now favor Grey Ghost and Black Widows. That is where a dealer can help as you can try them on first.

Sandman

I have the Hornet Optima also. They were $76 also I believe. They have a money back guarantee and the company is great to deal with. I've sent mine back to be modded for use with a Nautilus detector and John at B&B is great also. I got them from Brian @Southern Treasures he's excellent to deal with.
The earcups are plenty big, that was one of my complaints in the past.
