HI Everyone
I have just started metal detecting ant the invitation of my grandson.
He has done a lot of detecting over the past few years and voiced his need for some one to go with.
Hence my foray into the world of detecting.
I am located on the west coast of Canada just 8 miles north of the boarder (approx. 2hr north of Seattle).
My Missus & I are new to this too. We joined a local metal detecting club. Great way to meet LOTS of other detectorists, and accelerate our learning curves. 😉

I live in the little Hamlet of Cloverdale, which is a part of Surrey right tight up against Langley City.

So very true, we (my wife and I ) have always fostered a close relationship with the extended part of the family, in fact Jacob (1 of 3 grandsons) for the first 6 years of existence lived in the lower half of our home.
Now only lives a 12min drive away and we make it a point to see him (and the other 2) at least once a week.
Also we (Jacob & I) have a standing date on "Whopper Wednesdays" where we sit down together, have dinner together and talk about what's been going on for last week. I guess as he gets older and the younger two (currently 3 and 5 years old) the Wednesday activity will expand a little.

Howdy!

What a great way to spend time with your grandson!

Where does he like to hunt?

Since you're new, you might find the attached helpful.

Good luck to all,

The Old Bookaroo
