I just found this site the other day so I signed up. My wife bought me a Fisher F5 just a little over a year ago so I'm a real newbie but I'm learning and enjoying myself. Any tips would be appreciated!

The only tip is...get to know your detector better than you do your wife. If I were still back there, I'd take a shot at getting permission to detect Henry Fords mansion grounds on the river....I think it's called Fairlane. You might be surprised....sometimes people will give someone audacious enough to knock on the door permission. I don't know if it's even still in the ford family, but what the heck...all they can say is no.

We live near Detroit but but we have property I'm the northern lower peninnsula just 30 miles from the bridge. We often head to the UP but we have never prospected there.
