I retired from 35 years of Firefighting and came for some prospecting tips but got totally hooked on treasure vault stuff. Tnet seems like a great place to learn new things.I dredged with my father and Grandfather in Northern CA ,when you still could, in the 80s and that's about all the experience I've got. So,I'm here to learn!

Welcome to Treasure Net...!
You live in a great state to do all you
dream about - then some...!
Ghost towns, ranches, old roads and trails.
Research your objectives, and get to know
the library in town for old photos and maps,
that aren't already digitized - those would be
where your fortune lies...!

40 years ago, I piled into a camper with my MD, a road map and two books: California-Nevada Ghost Town Atlas (1977) and Penher's Nevada Ghost Towns and Mining Camps (1980 printing). My list of Churchill County spots to visit numbered 25. I don't remember finding anything that would give me an instant retirement, but I still have great adventure memories while traveling through Churchill and the surrounding counties, meeting the people and taking in the history. f
