I have always been interested in getting into MD but I have never met anyone who has done it. I ran across this site the other day trying to get a rock/mineral identified and this site has really sparked my interest to go out and get a MD; I know of atleast 4 old 1800's stone foundations that I think would make great sites to try detecting. I have been reading up on detectors and have it narrowed down to 3 different models: Whites mxt pro, Minelab xterrra 705, Garrett AT pro, I won't have enough saved up for several months so I will have some time to really research them. Anyway, just wanted to say "Hello" to the board. Matt

Welcome Matt, glad see another person from MI here, check out all the reviews and forums but you cant go wrong with MXT Pro or even the MXT both are great all purpose machines and hot on gold. If you check around you will find a deal on one but make sure you get one with a warranty, White's is one of the best for customer service if you ever have a problem.
