HELP 1860 Seated Liberty Quarter

Ok, what exactly is going on with this quarter? This is not silver. I'm a little bit stumped on this one... Here is a picture of what it looked like when I pulled it out of the ground. As you can see after I cleaned it, this coin is not silver. It looks as if it's clad. It has no silver characteristics whatsoever.

I've had some silver look like that too. I'm guessing something in the soil reacted with the alloy in the coin. Have toy tried electrolosis? All of these were found at the same beach over 2 days.
