So I've done a little research and from what I gather this is Fenton Carnival glass and I did ok on it for $3 but I can't find this specific design so I'm not sure if I hit it out of the ballpark or am looking to profit $2 on this. Any glass experts care to share their insight? I couldn't identify it on this site Contemporary Fenton What do I have?

Nevermind found it http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Fen...793?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ec939feb9
This was my first glass purchase and I only picked it up because I vaguely remembered hearing the name Fenton before and it was cheap enough to take a gamble. The above listing is the only one of this bowl I can find on ebay. Would you say it's a safe bet buying any carnival glass I see for real cheap in the future? I know if it is pre-1978 fenton it won't be marked but that's about all I know about glass.

Nice buy! Any piece of Fenton for $3 is a bargain. If you see anymore Fenton or carnival glass cheaply priced be sure to buy it. Also if you think something is Fenton, but it doesn't have a mark take a chance on it. Older pieces can be worth big bucks.

Nice find and nice piece. Post 1970, I believe that is when they started embossing with the oval Fenton logo. Fenton is no longer produced. They shut their doors last year I think (or the year before). I always buy vintage glass when I can get it for a buck or two. Here is a little Imperial carnival glass daisy & button toothpick holder I got for .25 recently. Not worth much but hey for .25 you can't beat it.
