Help garrett CXIII

[The Pick]

My brother just gave me his CXIII and I'm wondering how it compares with the new detectors on the market. I just moved to the Vegas area. What should I be looking for? I like walking through the desert so I thought I'd start taking this thing with me to see what I could find. any suggestions?

It's a good machine,

I had one for about 5 yrs (up until about 5 yrs ago) and I found a lot of good stuff with mine!

It's comparable to the top of the line machines on the market now days (even though it's older).

Basically, it's a GTI 2500 with out the imaging and the box is large, and in an ackward position compared to the 2500's, 1500's, etc.

The VCO pinpointing is killer on those machines (deadly accurate)!

Lots of big caves going south on rt15 and a few miles west on the left side...Go about 20 mins south of vegas and go westttttttt and look up high for the caves...JohnnyT
