I agree with it being a copy. It appears very crude, not to mention the color.

I think the text on Moe's referenced page says it all:
"Copy of a Spanish coin of Ferdinand and Isabella
Because of its historical significance this coin is copied quite extensively. This Real (arms/arrows tied) should be silver and not gold in color. The casting looks very poor."
