hello all,

this is my favorite recent thrift store pick, paid $10:

appears to be a Caribbean harvest scene. seems to be the work of a fairly skilled hand; quite a bit more dedicated than what i'm used to with a lot of "folk" and "outsider" art (which I will probably end up listing it as it as :BangHead:). i'm thinking it's consciously understated piece by a seasoned painter, but can't make out the signature.

First name is William, surname is anyone's guess -- I'm seeing Jones, Josef, Fowl, Lowel... something different every time. Fresh eyes would be appreciated with this one!

i have seen similar paintings go on ebay from $100-650, so hoping for somewhere in that range. artist name and some zeroing in on genre (i want to call it a "Caribbean folk art harvest/domestic scene" or something along those lines) are points of contention right now. any suggestions?
