I recently picked this item up at a house sale in Derbyshire, England. I am not sure I am in the right place so if anyone has any suggestions on where it might be from or where I could find out that would be very helpful.

The vase has only one marking on the base which I have pictured, a single capital 'A' which is in relief ( stands proud) on the base.

The vase is covered in tiny raised spots which I hope you can see in the pictures.

It stands 2 foot (60cm) high.

Any info on this vase would be much appreciated as I know nothing. I suspect it may have spannish origins but have not confirmed anything as yet.

Thanks in advance of your help!

I believe it's made to look like old Japanese "moriage pottery", but I think you have a modern Chinese copy. They sell these reproduced pieces in the import shops, antique fairs & flea markets all the time. I can't be 100% on that so, maybe this link will help you decide what you have for sure.
