Help identifying.

Been lurking around the forums and decided to go ahead and ask a question myself. I found this rock several years ago and I couldn't identify it myself, but it does look neat. It's glossy dark green, porous rock. Perhaps someone on these boards might have an idea? Images attached below. :thumbsup:

It really looks like coal slag from an old furnace. Hope I am wrong though.

Scubadetector is more likely correct in that being slag from a furnace. The other possibility to me was obsidian however the geology for where you found it does not support that material.
