Help ID'ing buttons

Found these buttons last fall along with others that were not identifiable. Also found three very severely worn unreadable large cents and a silver 3 cent piece. A couple indian heads dated 1866 but pretty eaten up from moisture in the ground. Also one flying eagle cent, unreadable date. Thinking I found an old homesite because I also found pieces of broken dishes in the ground. I was wondering if someone can help me identify the buttons . Thanks.

The bottom button with eagle/over/globe "Excelsior" is a New York Militia button ... likely circa 1830-1840's. Found the identical button this past fall in Southern Ontario. The one above it is a design I've never seen before but it could well be military as well ... particularly if that is a variety of thistle and not a flower (perhaps a British detachment). Regardless, both buttons are beauties. Well done. :)

Nice NY button. Can't make out the one on top, but the one above the NY is certainly civilian, early 1800s.
