Hi folks, I've posted this in the "What Is It" forum, http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/what/327127-old-printing-plate.html
But, since it shows cows I was thinking that this may have something to do with a dairy and was hoping that maybe a milk bottle expert could lend a hand.

There are more pics on the other forum.

Does this pattern ring any bells?

I should mention, that this was retrieved from around 12 inches down and that it was a field that the known history goes back to the early 1800's. I'm thinking this may be from around 1880 - 1940. Let me know if there's anything else I can give to help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

I understand and completely agree. Don't have very good photo equipment.

Here's another where I moistened the figures just a bit. You can't tell from the pics too well, but the figures are facing forward and I can see what looks like a cap sort of hat on the first figure on the left. Also, the cow's head is missing on the first figure from the left. One more thing, the figures' lower portions on their legs are visible in person but just barely. I couldn't capture them in the pic.

Click on the pic for a larger version.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for helping!
