looks like just a bunch of non-descript random lines and incidental marks. But .... I'm sure it's a treasure just waiting to be found! All "engravings" in "hard stone" are sure to mean mystical treasures afterall :)

The first marker says "Jesus saves, and so should you!" The second marker says, "Cash Only, No Checks."

come on guys , be nice. if my first post here had been meet with smart remarks i would not have came back.
Sterling_27 , there is a section in the forums where people try to guess what stone markings mean , maybe post these pictures there , i will see if i can place you the link to it.
as for the marks ? the first ones look man made to me but were they made on purpose or even mean anything i could not tell you .
as for the 2nd picture , those all look like they could be naturally worn from the tide and soft portions in the stone being eroded by sand and tide for centuries .

Welcome to the site sterling. When you post it again I would like to know if the rocks are on a wall or on the ground? That would be a nice clue as to what could of made them. Also what state would help.

My guess on the first stone would be a survey bench mark. The + or X mark is a location mark and what appears to be roman numbers is the location code. Yes I would say it is a very old survey marker. The other stone mark might be a line marker. Frank...
