Yesterday my cousin called me to give him a hand moving some wood at the house he just bought. The house was built in the early 1900s. I decided to bring my detector to check out the backyard. First I hit the big tree area and I get a high signal on my DFX. Out pops out a 1957 quarter. My first silver quarter. I dug a couple mercs and a barber dime before in the past. So I proceed into the center of the backyard where there is not too much fill dirt. I get a high 85-87 reading about 4-5 inches. Ok, I thought. Another soda can. I dug the plug and I see the edge of a coin. I pull out a 1939 Walking liberty half. Definately my best day so far!! :headbang:

Sweet silvers! Yeah, it's got a gouge on it, but the 1939 half is a work of art anyway. Glad you found 'em both!
