I'm from the area, it has been a family told tale for many years. I was just curious on what others out there have heard.



Here's a link to a page about Sefton. Sounds like an interesting research project. What is the local tale? I see he had a toll road and gold mine as well as a store. I'll keep checking..........

Here's a photo of Sefton's tool gate. It's at the bottom left corner marked witha "7" if you can read it. If the area looks the same today it should be a good place to start a hunt.
