Here are two bullets with 6 point swage marks made to be fired from .58cal. rifled musket, I think one of these was fired out of .54cal. I have been looking through some jars and boxes that have bullets I have found most in seperate containers tagged with area I found them in, I found a few good and odd bullets I will post them a little at a time. does anybody think I could be right about bullets pictured?

How would that have been loaded?

Check out M&M page 64 #546 I know that is a cleaner but same principle applies. I have no idea how it would have been loaded.I have not seen any more posts on you finding Confederate buttons, have you been back out?

Hmmm.

That's a good one.

Maybe "Very hard Rammed" in a desperate situation :icon_scratch:

The nose looks to have a ram-rod mark . Never the less an interesting Bullet...Very interesting.:icon_thumleft:

Field has been planted so we are out until next January, after deer season ends.

If that bullet had been rammed or fired wouldn't the rifling marks run diagonally? What I see are vertical marks.

I found one something like that years ago. My thoughts on it was it was shot out of a breach loader. I'll look for it later today after work. I'm pretty sure I know where it is.
