I am new here but have been coin roll hunting for about a year, and collecting for almost 20. I have lurked through a lot of logs and just wanted somewhere to keep track of my finds. I appreciate any feedback or tips.

First search I will log was this past weekend.

Me and the wifey searched $30 in nickels, $16.50 in halves, and $50 in pennies.

We got skunked on the halves, and found 7 early date (pre 1960) nickels. On the pennies we got 18 wheaties, 4 "s" mints, 15 Canadian pennies, and $10.26 in copper. We also nearly completed a 1975-2013 cent folder (still need 4 coins) and found a lot of the harder to find ones in out 1965-2015 cent folder. Also got a start on our wheat cent folder.

Not a bad weekend. Out of 5000 pennies we kept 1100 for different projects throughout our collection.

I love cents myself as well, interesting how your numbers skyrocketed between those last two boxes. Maybe it's an uptrend that will last :)
Hope to hear the good scores come!

Good job on the wheats. We're they all 40's and 50's, or were there some early dates?

Worst set ever

7 wheats, all 50's
5 Canadians
2 "s" mints
$3.86 in copper
7 folder keepers

Having a very hard time getting pennies. Those 54 rolls came from 5 different locations. I got 15 CWR that were all circulated date sets. Rolls of 2002, 2004 all rolled together and not marked. Not sure what the heck that was. Teller told me people are buying up pennies like crazy. One guy bought $500 and he said all he does is leave the boxes sealed and stockpile them in his closet. Its getting kinda crazy out here.
