Love that purple bottle too.Poor kitty. That is an excellent idea about bringing a rake to a site that might hold bottles UncleMac. If I were at an old house site what would I look for as far as the ground goes to where bottles might be?Anyone. Bueller?

I just asked that....the good answers were....under the "house"...down the "slope"....in the "stream"...basically....away from the house in the most convenient way where they would be out of sight and out of the way. If you had no garbage pickup....where would you toss your trash?

The houses are no longer there though.Old maps do indicate where there might have been outhouses and I will try and remember the good advice of down the slope as you know what runs downhill.

All we ever take are the small held hand rakes.

Home Depot & Lowes sell a leaf rake the fold up,it's sturdy and made of metal, runs about $9-$15 and it's worth it.About where bottles would be at a site where there is no house,I would search 25-50 steps from where the house made have been. Also maybe it's just me,but I leave my dirty bottles dirty, just a rinse on the inside.Other than that, happy hunting:occasion14:
