I have been hunting old homesteads all year and one finally paid off... I thought its was a 44 wheat... so I stuck it in my pocket as i do with all my good coins... I have lost good coins when dropping them into my pouch so all my good ones go directly into my pocket for safe keeping.... and I am glad i did this one too! This is my first key date in a very long time! yeah its not of any great value.... but its a cool find! Check it out! LOOK BELOW!
UPDATE:
now that the excitement of this find has settled down for me I recall more detail... I have a couple of hunting buddies and both of them are on here but too active... and I have done this to both of them and I actually feel bad that it happened this way... I actually found coins near and in holes they have dug... now they are experienced hunter and find as much as I do and they even out hunt me from time to time. This is what happened this time too... I was crossing paths with my hunting buddy he had just been to this spot 5 minutes earlier... and i was just going over the hole he just dug... and off to the left I get this consistent but odd signal... and as I always tell them when we hunt look for those consistent signals... anyways I dug it and now you know the rest of the story... now I have to tell him.... but i don't want to because it makes me feel bad finding coins they missed... as I did a few months ago in his own yard that he has hunted several times I pulled out a 1897 Barber Quarter... I really think this dry soil here in Texas has an effect out the signals we get... now they we have had a good rain it should be bring the signals back to what they should be.... buts its not.
