Hello,

As, some of you know I am new to MDing as Dec 25, 2009.

I have been coin shooting in the parks from Dec to today.

(To make a long storie short. I cut most of the fact out of this posting)

Today I have a guy get ticked off at me while MDing and then three others give me a hard time too.

So, What I am asking is...

When your metal detecting. Does this kinda stuff happen a lot?

Or was I just lucky today with two in a row?

Hey... there are a hundred other posts here just like yours. And - just as many about defending yourself, being prepared, nosey neighbors and those who think they own the park - and I guess we all kinda DO own the parks. You are not alone...

I guess I am MDing in wrong year too... I adjusted the story to cut to the chase...

So, like do people go out of there way bug ya when ya are MDing?

The first guy was a TAX Payer... I told him I was too... He did not know what to say then. LOL

That seemed to work for me today....

But, I thinking about drunks in parks now... They might not be so EZ to get off my back...

Hi all,

Today, a nice lady saw me MD-ing in the park...

She asked, if I could help her find her hearing aid with my metal detector?

It's not all bad out there.

It was a S.L. County park. Why do you ask?
The three kids were in car... So, they are mobile!

I like the people who give you a hard time aboutdetecting the park while their dog is taking a huge dump. Then they wal away and leave the dump behind.

Ain't it the truth...

Out of everyone in the city park now days. The metal detecting guy is probably the only there that is NOT breaking the law or up to not good.

Between the gays in the rest rooms, dog walkers let there dogs run wild, drug dealer, pot heads, G.Banners, child molesters and drunks.

Why is the metal detector guy always being questioned? Today, I had a white and brown Pit Bull run over to me while I was digging a small hole for a dime.

I ask the owners to call there dog back. They did call the dog back. But, they did not leash the dog...

After they left the area... The County Sheriff Dept. Deputy drop by to see what I was doing.

I told him he should have been here when the Pit Bull was running around off leash!

He got the idea that I was not the problem today.

I am starting to look forward to big question everyday now.

"Hey! What are you looking for?" and "I don't think, YOU can do that"

Maybe we should out law MDing ... No one would look twice at us. LOL
