hello, i am looking for help in identifying very old things! i purchased a solid oak Thomasville Chair Company dresser to restore but unfortunately was not able to save the oak on top or a few drawer fronts. it's been a beast to work on!! i've attached some pictures. i cannot find anything like this dresser on vintage sites and could use your help understanding the makers mark.
a shipping tag on the back indicates it's from Thomasville Chair Co and shipped to DC. i purchased it from a man who lived in DC and worked for the government. i understand that Thomasville chair company merged and changed to Thomasville Furniture in 1961 but this dresser does not look pre-60s.
