Many years back when I started looking for things, and also the wanting to know of where to hide my things, I did some fantastic research in many books written by H. Glenn Carson (Glenn Carson). This man definitely spent some time doing research to share.
I think they were published by Carson Publishing out of New Mexico back then. There were a few books, and they gave terrificly detailed places that a person could think of to hide stuff.
Another series of books are written by Stephen B. Schaeffer, and provides information on the Spaniards.
