Bergie, its 31 on L.I. I'm in for at least an hour or two, I'm going to hit the old foundation behind my shop, there got to be something in that pile of rubble!

Good deal. I'll be back around 2:30 NY time, or maybe they will find me frozen out there like Jeremiah Johnson from that old 70s movie, with detector in hand (instead of rifle he had).

Hey, you win first find. I am just getting on my long johns, ski suit, hat, gloves. I went in the backyard and tested my hammer and digging tool and it's going to be a lot of work, but I will limit dig to best signals on silver/copper and size wise to a potential coin. There's virtually nothing left at this site I am sure, so I'll have to get lucky. How did you find the digging to be?

Believe it or not it was a peice of cake, ground was good and soft, theres a 4 or 5 inch layer of leaves on top of the soil were I was working that may have insulated the ground a little, I went around a big tree thats got to be well over a hundred years old. It was cut about 4.5 feet up and i got too many signals to dig. I'm still trying to figure out the Whites 5000 D, I'm going to use the Bounty Hunter on my lunch break, half the work and I can move a little faster
