Highlands Transportation Co. token

[idahotokens]

Anybody know where this token is from? Google says there is a Highlands Transportation Co. in the Asheville, NC area, but the NC token expert does not think this one is from there. I've only had it for a quarter of a century and it is high time that it is attributed. Thanks!

Mack--thanks! But...if I am following the link correctly (Yahoo and all it minions don't get along well with my pc), the Highlands buses you point to are in Scotland and this token is either from the United States or Canada, based on the 15¢ denomination.

Do you recall from what state you received/found the token?

I got it from a coin dealer in Boise, ID in 1985. It was in his "junk box" and, at the time, I didn't ask any more.

One thing is certainly unusual (at least to me) is the feature of being 5-sided. I've seen 5-sided pins, but never a 5-sided token. Perhaps that may be a clue to its ID
