many of us are interasted in shipwracks and trasure but how many know tha history of the conquistedors and whet was life 400-500 years back in tha americas?

i found a book that provides a window into that time. the book is very old and wes writtan by a spanish soldier/priest. he describs many of the attrocieties carried out by spaniesh durin tha first decades aftar columbus ageinst tha native populations. if only one third of the accounts are true, it is still awful! probably some accounts are exaggerated but othars are likely true.

spain has no much claim for the traesure ships because tha loot wes all blood money taken frm tha indies! all tha europeans committed attroacities in tha new world. back than the world wes a very harsh place and lawless.

we should apologize to tha native peoples of the americas for the cruelty of the colonization!

The atrocities you refer to stem from the Spainish Inquisition that began in 1478 AD and lasted to 1834 AD; 350+ years of hell. An informative book on the subject is:
The Spanish Inquistion by Jean Plaidy, ISBN 1-56619-407-5 (1994). In detail he describes the Rise, Growth and the End of the Spanish Inquisition in three separate and well-indexed portions of his book.

An informative and entertaining book is "A Voyage Long and Strange" by Tony Horwitz (2008). It covers the period from the Vinkings/Vinland to Jamestown including the Spanish and French.
