Well, it's not a million copper pennies yet, but it's the first mark. 25,000 copper pennies. Most sorted with the wonderful Ryedale penny sorter. Necxt goal is 100,000 coppers, so four times this amount.

Also got some silver today (2 Roosies) from a bank while picking up some pennies. My second and third for the year. Also added to my pre 1960 nickels this week and my half dollar keepers (Saw them in the till and asked for them. 8 silvers!)

Here's my new totals for 2007. Still a rookie by standards of this board, but I'm ok with it.

2007 CRH & MD Total: 11/13/07

Indian Head Penny - 2 (1902 & 1908)
Wheats - 386
Buffalo Nickels - 4
Silver (War) Nickels - 3
Other Pre 1960 Nickels - 46 (34 found in one $2 roll of nickels the bank saved for me!)
Merc Dimes - 1
Silver Roosies - 3
Silver Wash Qtrs – 2
Barber Qtrs – 1 (1897!)
Franklin Halves - 0
1964 (90%) Kennedy - 4
1965 – 70 (40%) Kennedy - 21
NIFC Kennedy - 17

Copper Memorial Pennies - 25,000 +/-

Canadian coinage - $2.27 (Mostly pennies)

Wow, already a half barrel, it does pay to have that teller job.

I find it's about 35 lbs per gallon, and it takes about $50 face (coppers) to make the gallon. So you should have almost 1000 lbs already, and almost $1500 Face value. That means you have sorted roughly 4 times that much assuming you are getting ~25% coppers.
Good job, I'll call that next machine order out to the manufacturing division. Oh wait.....thats me.

Thanks Andy
