And the best news is both dimes filled a spot in my collection. Was very surprised I didn't already have the 1959-D.

I have been doing the same thing. I have only had 1 duplicate Merc out of 15 or so. Very surprising. Get those albums filled up. Nice 23. I assume no mintmark? I'll bet you would have been showing that if there was.

Congrats on the finds, any time you find more than one silver coin during a hunt it's definitely a successful hunt, especially when you find them in only an hour and a half.

I'll bet there are many more silver in that park, schlepprock. Try gridding, and overlapping your sweeps at least 50%. The slower you go, the more likely you are to find most metal objects. And after you sweep it one direction, say north-south, then turn 90 degrees and go over the same area east-west. I think you may be surprised at just how many coins you missed in the first gridding.

This is the reason there is no such thing as a worked-out park.
