I just finished a book I found which I am sure many of you have read or heard of. The name is Hittel on Gold Mines and Mining. It was published in 1864 and is in the Public Domain. I bought it on Kindle thru Amazon.
I found it to be a fascinating book. He goes from how to find gold, to how to mine, to how to build equipment and all points in between. And this is all from 1864. It is amazing how much of the book is found word for word every day in these forums.
The book is free and I recommend you get it and read it.
