Hittin' the floor with years of heartache--How much heartache is there?

When it's been 99+ for a couple of weeks and another week in the forecast, nowhere to hunt, you get posts like this!

I spread out some boxes of my brokes from the last few years. Can you guess how many are in the pile?

I hear you on the temps around here. You can work up a sweat just taking a shower, lol. That's quite a pile, I'd guess around 1000.

They may be "broke" to you, but many are very nice looking in my eyes. Hey, you can always send me what you don't want. :laughing7: In the meantime are you checking to see if you have any matched broke pieces? I have just a few, and they glued together in my display cases.

I have a question... do you make any distinction between ancient breaking and modern or are they all just broke to you?

Hey Alwayslearning,

All these points were broken when I found them, and 98% of them are from creek finds. So, I'm really not sure how many of them were broken during use anciently and how many of them were broken from rolling in the creek recently.

I sure would like to work on some of those. I like working on my brokes not to pass them off as something they are not but to maybe be like the old guys and reuse. Send me someand I will return them.:icon_thumright:

Well, the answer is 1600 on the nose. I think I'll get them back out sometime soon and see if I can match any of them up!
