Hello fellow TNeters! Hope the hunting has been great for everyone. I met a guy detecting at my usual park after the 4th of July. Had a couple hunts with him at new parks (for me at least). He has been all over the place and has been hunting for decades. Nice guy lots of advise and its nice to have some company while hunting, especially at parks I would not go to alone.

Went out this morning to a park he invited me to. Not far too far from my hose. Turns out that this park had an active farm on the property that was used till the 80s. It had a barn and 2 houses on it. Here is an old photo from the 50s

I got there and he was working the area to the right of the barn and he was pulling clad like no ones business. Multiple coins in most of the plugs too. I got my gear and "waterproofed" my ACE and was going to work next to where he was. My VERY FIRST SIGNAL was this....

I could not believe it! I could have left after that one hole but whats the fun in that? My first silver ring ever! It is engraved "Boy Becomes Man" on the outside of the band. And the 925 stamp on the inside. Its crushed but I dont care :icon_thumleft:

After that start I was in a great mood. Started working a strip of grass next to the barn and got more clad than pull tabs for once. My 2 hunt total for clad was over $3.00. After about 45 minutes my MD Buddy had to go. At this point I wanted to go into the woods and find where the barn and houses were. Not hard to find and not that overgrown BUT the MOSQUITOES were AWFUL. Didn't spend more than 10 minutes in there. Next to an older tree right about where the house was out pops this...

Again I was up in the clouds! I let some of the buggers get me while taking pics. My second ever silver ring and hour after my first! Nothing could get me down today! Got out of the woods but Ill be back in there when the bugs die off. The ring is marked 925 on the inside but there is no way to focus my camera on it.

Worked my way to a tot lot on the other side of the park. No rings there lol just some bullets :icon_scratch: oh and Batman or Blingman. Here is all the other things I dug today. Car mirror, cologne, chewed up bullet, keys, Cheese Rat token, piece of brass, a CAT button, and a 1921 wheat from last weekend. This place is huge. Going to go back very soon. I cant wait to see what else this place is hiding.

Thanks for taking a look!
Good luck and happy hunting to everyone as always!
