Have completed full sets for my wife and I, each of our 4 kids and 8 grandkids, with coins ranging from F to VF (and better) and only 2 missing in each set...namely 1856 FE and 1877 IH....a beat-to-crap IH may range from $400 to $1200 depending on the day...
Although I have maybe several hundred Flying Eagles, I have one well worn FE that is suspected to be 1856 (Extremely rare). Although there are chemicals that will expose the date, but by not knowing the date makes it that much more mysterous...if real its worth at least a $1000 plus or minus...if not, its totally worthless...love the mystery
The Flying Eagle is probably one of the finest examples of coin art...
