I have no idea what I am going to do with it but something will happen.
Looks like the old cars my uncle used to restore, he stayed up around Dawson.
He was a member of the "Artesian City Car Club", and won many trophies over the years.
He would fix up the old Modal A's, and would take us on drives Sunday afternoons.
Perhaps, if you're not going to restore it, the Club may be a source to find a buyer, that will.
Cool car, and thanks for the memories of my Uncle.
I did trim carpentry for many years so the rotten wood doesn't scare me off. Also, there are complete wood kits available to rebuild the whole body. You Georgia guys do some good wood work, should not be a problem. I learned from a Master how to build car bodies such as you describe, we did a few builds for Harrah's Auto collection, An 1929 Pierce Arrow we constructed the whole Body, Vern Surrat was the master body man.
My Uncle is LG Willis. He would have been 96 Dec. 1, but passed 2 weeks ago. What was your uncles name? I have been a member of the club for about 10 years. I am taking the car to the Perry, Ga. swap meet this Friday. If I don't sell it I will take it to Moultrie next week. If it doesn't sell there I will start the restoration. The motor turns over using the hand crank so it should start.
My Uncle is LG Willis. He would have been 96 Dec. 1, but passed 2 weeks ago.
Some of the older members of the club may remember him. I'm sure there has to be some pics of him and some of his cars in their archive somewhere.
