HOPE, Ark., March 2. --- An awful wreck occurred on the St. Louis & Iron Mountain road, one mile north of here, yesterday morning at 7 o'clock. The south-bound passenger jumped the track and the baggage, express, three passenger coaches and one sleeper rolled down an embankment. The sleeper and three coaches immediately caught fire and in a short time were burned. The wreck occurred from a rotten tie at a bridge giving way. No person was killed, but several were badly injured.
The names of the injured are as follows;
MRS. ELIZA MILLS, Helena, Ark.; since dead.
MRS. C. C. THOMAS, Wynne, Ark.; head hurt.
MRS. J. M. FACHARY and four children, Vadiver, Ark.; seriously injured.

The injured are being properly cared for by the railroad company.
