A picture is worth a thousand words, but it looks like your token may we worth at least 225 dollars based on info from tokencatalog link is here posted. Joe Brooks was proprietor of the Walnut Grove Hotel in Sacramento in 1926 and from what I have read, he was only proprietor for a short time, so your token is from about 1926, give or take a few. Here is another look at a reference to Mr Brooks at a dedication ceremony of a neighboring building project.

thanks. Having a little trouble figuring how to navigate around in here. Found that upriver from Walnut Grove 8 miles or so.
