Houses? Camps? other?

when spring hits im going to go detect this place just wondering what you guys might think these buildings are. unusual to be out so far in the woods

Me either, the shapes to the left of the road are too irregular. But give it a whirl anyway. My guess would be that, it's the place where they dug gravel for the road or something similar.

Bar ditch (the side of the road) was a term shortened from the original phrase borrow ditch, they borrowed the sides to make the road. Just MHO HH and GL

Could be a hunting/fishing cabin?, way out there in the woods.
