how about: Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66

I first heard them in 1966, great samba/jazz band!! I think I still have an original copy of their first album. When you posted Herb Alpert yesterday I was going to say I preferred Sergio although I played cornet and trumpet through school and did like that Herb made trumpet music popular again for a while. Of course, some of the best samba/jazz were the Stan Getz/Joao Gilberto collaborations.

Took some dance classes years ago and sort of learned the samba to that song...still suck at dancing, but I'm not this bad!

 

I like the english version of "Girl From Ipanema"
though I never go looking to listen to it.

I never found the jerk funny, i think i saw part of it, and fell asleep or dumped it. there is very little about steve martin i find funny though.
