I was detecting, with permission, Sunday in front of an 1816 house between the house and street.
An old lady (in her 80's) pulled in the driveway, got out of her car and in a loud voice asks what I am
doing. Being nice I told the truth and said looking for old coins.
Her response was "Well, if you have that kind of time available how about coming
over to my house and pick up the sticks and limbs out of my yard" !!
She was serious. I smiled and said have a nice day...........she got in her car and left. Basically I
was speechless.
I found a couple 1911 wheats but nothing older. Except perhaps I might has misjudged her age.
