Dorian is going west at 1 mile an hour. What a beating.

Weather guy said, "you could walk faster than that." I thought, "All you have to do is put up a sail!" Obviously he's never been through one.

So far, so good here.
Aquanut and his bride are fine. John was over here around noon.
Jonah and his merry band of beach pirates are staying over on the barrier island waiting for the beach to cut
Bonnie Schubert is at home waiting this thing out,
As of dark tonight the Carib, the Lobsterman, the Royal 8, the Judge Perez and the ShowDown are all well.
Now...the Abacos and Brand Bahama are screwed. Pray for them and when this passes, do something good for those folkz

Kevin and Audrey are both currently in the U.K.... So they are safe. I AM very concerned for his neighbor, Gladys, who is a senior citizen and pretty much on her own...if ANYONE has a contact on Long Island, I am sure Kevin and Audrey would appreciate any information as to her status...

Storm won't be off Grand Bahama till tonight. Wind field expanding. Shear is supposed to increase, but so will water temperature as it begins to move faster. People were using jet skis to rescue folks who were stranded. There was a rescue helicopter there yesterday. Still difficult for any large boat to approach I would think.

This was an interesting one...supposed to cruise south of STX, then suddenly turned north. STX was all good, but between STX and STT, damn.
STT hit pretty good, lots of winds here, but not the flooding...nothing like the Bahamas... I fear not much left there.

Mother Nature does not mess around..

Stay Safe....

The devastation is unprecedented in the Bahamas. All of those destroyed homes, furniture, personal belongs, destroyed cars, the logistics of clean up and what to do with it is mind boggling
