Specific gravity of gold = 19.3

19.3 grams = 1 cc

1 troy ounce = 31.1 gms

31.1 / 19.3 = 1.61

1 troy ounce has a volume of 1.61 cubic centimeters

A gold Maple Leaf is on troy oz.

Here's a little piece of trivia... The Maple Leaf is darker than the U S one ounce because it is one ounce. The US coin is lighter in color and heavier than one ounce. It has one ounce of gold and then "additives" to make it stronger, making it slightly more than one ounce. TTC
