Walking back from the creek today. I’ve owned this property for around 10 years. Today, I noticed this length of fencing. I’m guessing it was done a long time ago. Non-standard method, but it’s still holding. Kind of a treasure in its own right.

There is a forked limb between the hedge posts, angled to provide strength and stability. Usually there is a steel brace or actual lumber serving that purpose.
