Get your minds out of the gutter, boys and girls!!
I just searched my first box - yellow with holes and all machine wrapped. Being machine wrapped, I was not expecting much and for the first few rows, I was right. Then I got my first 40%! I guess my ears aren't what they used to be as I did not hear it come out of the roll. But, happy was I!
So here are the full results:
1967 - 4
1968D - 1
1969 - 1
1976S (clad)
About a half dozen NIFC (and a bunch of nice AU? coins to upgrade in an old Whitman that hasn't been opened in thirty years)
Oh, yes, how could I forget? Down to the last three rolls and thinking to myself "This is a pretty cool start - didn't get skunked" (even the wife was like "Those are worth $5.50 each? When are you going to sell them?" heh heh heh Never, I thought!) Opened the third to last roll and I KNEW THAT SOUND!!!!!!! Full silver, baby! 1958 FRANKLIN??!! Are you #$$%^$%&* me? Wow!!
Now THIS is what I remember from a kid - the best feeling in da world!! So, beginners luck, karma, Rich smiling down on the newbie, whatever. I'm taking it!
For you "coin porn" lovers out there, I have a pic to post, just have to find the cord. For now, I'm off to wash the grime on my hands...tommy g
PS I had at least one (and as many as seven) Bicentennial halves in each roll. Is this common? Did they mint THAT many? I know there's no premium for them, but they sure stood out.
