How do I find old map info in my area (Northridge, Ca) online?

Northridge was so named in 1938. It had been named "North Los Angeles" in 1929 but that was too confusing. Before being named North Los Angeles, the area was called Zelzah. You may wish to research those other two names. The area was called Zelzah, a Biblical name for oasis, because the area, fed by underground streams, was very fertile. Today, you'll see a lot of signs there for Zelzah; now you'll know why--if you didn't know already.
