How do you store your metal detector when not in use?

Trunk of my car at all times-winter or summer. I know people are typing I'm crazy right now ( cold-humidity,yada,yada)
Never had a problem in any weather,and I want to be ready to detect at all times.

I too keep mine in my car, although I havent even used it this year yet!!!! been too busy with all of my other hobbies and that old work thing...

I like those hangers though, neat idea!

Sometimes I do bring my detector in the house to clean it up a bit or some other maintenance, but then it's back
to the trunk next morning.

You all that keep your detectors in your car or trunk?
Don't you worry about the heat getting to the machine?
Another hobby of mine is archery and I was told years ago to NEVER leave a bow in the car because the heat can damage the limbs.
Knowing that the interior of my vehicle can get above 130 degrees in the summertime, I would not, or at least have not yet, left my metal detector in my car for fear of something "melting".
If nothing else, for the fear of battery damage from the heat.
